This guide covers the first and most important step when setting up Team Manager. Before creating teams, fixtures, or training sessions, schools must assign Full Access to the appropriate staff member (usually a Head Coach, Sports Coordinator, or member of senior leadership) so they can configure the system correctly.
Once this is done, the Head Coach (or nominated staff member) can complete the initial system setup by adding venues, fixture types, and choosing visibility and notification preferences.
Understanding Access Levels
Team Manager has two levels of access:
1. Standard Access (Default)
By default, all staff members have access to Team Manager. This allows them to:
- View teams
- View fixtures and training sessions
- View basic team information
2. Full Access (Settings Access)
Full Access unlocks the Settings area in Team Manager. This is required for anyone responsible for managing the structure of the system.
With Full Access, users can:
- Create and manage Venues
- Create and manage Fixture Types (e.g. Friendly, League, Cup Match)
- Control Notification settings
- Enable or disable Team Sheet visibility for parents
- Typically, Full Access is given to:
- Principals
- Deputy Principals
- Admin staff
- Head Coaches
- Sports Coordinators
How to Assign Full Access
Only Principals, Deputy Principals, and Admin staff can assign Full Access.
To do this:
- Go to uniqueschoolapp.ie and log in
- Navigate to Access & Permissions
- Click Add
- Enter a Title of your choosing ("Team Manager" or “Coaches”)
