Attendance Settings

Temporarily Disable Absence Notifications

Attendance Settings allow your school to temporarily disable Absence Notifications for a specified period.

This is useful when:

  • Exams are taking place and standard roll marking is not in operation
  • A year group or class is on a school trip
  • Students have not yet been marked as School Activity
  • There is a non-standard school day (e.g. events, mock exams, special schedules)

Disabling notifications prevents parents from receiving absence alerts during these periods.

How to Access Attendance Settings

Step 1: Log In

  • Go to uniqueschoolapp.ie and log in.

Best Practice

  • Only disable notifications when absolutely necessary
  • Always ensure School Activity is marked where applicable
  • Remember to re-enable notifications promptly once normal attendance processes resume. If you applied the correct range when setting it up, it will auto-resume.

This ensures parents continue to receive accurate and timely communication.
