Notice Boards

This Group Chat like feature allows staff to communicate effectively with different users on the app

Notice Boards is a great feature to communicate with Students, Parents/Guardians & Staff.

As a staff member, you decide on a group-by-group basis who will have access to write into the Notice Board, so it can work as either a Chat or an Announcement system. This works particularly well for Sports Teams, Trips and even year/class groups.

Note: Only staff members can create groups, so you will never be added by a student or a parent to a group.
When Limited Access users create a Notice Board, they still need approval from Full Access users in order to publish it. Once published, they can start sending messages into the Notice Board.

To Create a Notice Board:

1. Go to your Dashboard

2. Click on Notice Boards on the left side menu

3. Click on Add to create a new board

4. Enter the Name of the Notice Board (e.g Italy Trip or TY Group etc.)

5. Filter by - either an existing Group, or use the Students option

  • Select the Years / Class you would like to add to your Notice Board
  • Click on Apply Filter to load the selected list
  • Select Students/Parents/Guardians individually or all
  • After selecting the students/parents click Add Selected so they move to the Final List

6. Add Teachers to the Notice Board (Add the teacher(s) who is organising and leading the trip or event)

  • Change the Filter by to Teachers
  • Click on Apply Filter to load the selected list
  • Select all Staff Members you would like to have in your Notice Board
  • Click on Add Selected

Allowing Users to Reply:

1. Click on the Can User Reply icon on the very right hand side column

By default, no users have access to respond in the Notice Board

2. This opens a pop-up window that shows the names of everyone added to your Notice Board. (This will only show App Users)

3. You can either Allow All or Select who you wish to give access to respond and then select Allow
