The Administrator's App allows you to post both News and Notifications. Both feeds in the school app are public, meaning any parent, guardian or student who is registered on the app can view what is posted.
A notification item should cover urgent matters such as school closures, weather warnings, exams, etc. These items are more critical and do not belong in the news section.
1. Open your Administrator's App
2. Go to the Notifications tab
- From an Android Device, tap on the 3 horizontal lines on the top left of the screen and tap Notifications
- From an Apple Device, tap on Notifications at the bottom of the screen
3. Tap on the Plus icon near the bottom right of the screen
4. Add your Title & Message content
5. Send as a Push Notification
-
Select who is to receive the alert (beep) on their device; e.g. Parents of 2nd year students (Only these users will get a beep on their device but the notification will be visible to all App users)

2. Select the User Type (Most common would be Parent)
3. Select the Year

6. Add to Category
- Click on the Category Drop field
- Choose the Category you wish the notification to be displayed in
The notifications feed can be split into sub-categories e.g. Sports, Trips, PTA etc. to display only relevant content in each category.
7. Redirect to module

Choose the module that you would like linked to your Notification
The Redirect to module allows you to add a button on the Notification to the specific module you select.

- Select the future Date and Time that the notification should be sent

Images
If you do not select any images on your Notification, the user will see the school crest by default. We recommend adding an image that the user can associate with the message received.
We advise using this feature only if necessary as PDFs are made to be viewed on an A4 screen, as users are seeing the message on their mobile device can be quite hard to read messages on PDF. Instead, you can copy message from your PDF and paste it onto your Description.
