The News feed can be split into sub-categories e.g. Sports, Events, General etc. to display only relevant content in each category. Some schools like to sub-categorise each year so parents and guardians can easily see what's relevant to their student.
Adding a News Category
- From your Dashboard, Click News on the left side menu
- Go to News Categories
- Click Add
- Under the News Category field, add the Title
- Choose the Sort Order
- Sort Order applies to where the category will display across the top of the feed
- If 1st Year is 7 in the Sort Order and 2nd Year is 6, 1st Year will display before 2nd Year
- Submit
Once submitted, Categories can be applied to News. Learn more about News
