Use the delivery and read report to check whether a Personal Notification reached the selected users and whether they opened it.
Delivered and Read mean different things. A delivered push alert is not the same as an opened message. A read status does not confirm that the recipient understood or acted on the message.
In this guide
1. Open the recipient report
- Sign in at uniqueschoolapp.ie.
- Open Communications → Personal Notifications → Manage Personal Notifications.
- Find the message, adjusting the date range and filters if needed.
- Click the number in the Read or Unread column. You can also open the message’s three-dot menu (⋮) → Users.
2. Check each recipient
- Student: relevant when the student was included in the PN.
- Primary Contact: shows that contact’s read status, or the staff member for a staff message.
- Secondary Contact: shows the second contact’s status where applicable.
Check the intended recipient rather than assuming one family member’s read status applies to everyone.
3. Understand the indicators
- Warning symbol: the push alert was not delivered. Hover over it for available details.
- Check symbol: the push alert was delivered. The report icon can show delivery time and device information.
- Green registration indicator: the user is registered on the app.
- Red registration indicator: the user is not registered on the app.
If a message is unread or undelivered
Check the registration and delivery information first. Possible causes include phone notification settings, a changed phone or an app that has not been reinstalled; the status alone does not identify the cause.
Where appropriate, use the unread-email reminder option when creating a PN, or follow your school’s normal contact process. Avoid sending repeated messages without checking the recipient details.
