Use the OTP Report to find a verification code when someone is not receiving it by SMS while registering for the school app. This can also help parents with international mobile numbers.
OTP means one-time passcode — the code used to verify a mobile number.
Find a verification code
- Sign in to uniqueschoolapp.ie.
- On the main dashboard, go to Other → SMS → OTP Report.
- Enter the person's number in Mobile No and check the From Date and To Date.
- Click Go.
- Match the Mobile number and User type, then use the SMS sent date/time to find the most recent message. The code appears in SMS text.
Note: the menu is called OTP Report, but the report page currently has the heading Mobile Verification SMS Report. You are in the right place.
Help a parent who has not received the SMS
After verifying the parent's identity and confirming the mobile number, authorised school staff can use this report to provide the code through the school's approved support process. This includes parents with international numbers who are not receiving the SMS.
Codes are time-sensitive. They change after approximately 2–3 hours. If you provide a code by email, ask the parent to use it promptly. The time runs from when the code was issued, not when you email it — check the latest message before sharing it.
If the code is no longer accepted, ask the parent to request a new code in the app, then check the report again for the latest message.
Keep codes private. Confirm the person's identity and recipient details before sharing a code. Do not include codes in shared documents, screenshots or public messages.
If you cannot find the code
- Check the number: confirm it matches the number the person is using to register, including the correct country code for an international number.
- Check the dates: include the day the code was requested, then click Go again.
- Still no result? Clear Mobile No and search the relevant date range to check how the number is recorded.
If registration still fails or no message appears, contact staffsupport@uniqueschools.ie. Do not assume an older code is still valid.
Other report details: the page also shows Total SMS Sent, Total SMS Cost (Inc. VAT), and the Cost and Segments for each message. An Export option is available; treat any downloaded report as confidential because it may contain phone numbers and verification codes.
