Create and Edit Personal Notification Templates

Save reusable messages for routine notices, attendance follow-ups and Team Manager communications.

Personal Notification (PN) templates save time by reusing wording for messages you send regularly, such as meetings, weather warnings, school closures or attendance follow-ups.

For most everyday messages, choose Custom. Save the wording once, then select the template when creating a Personal Notification. Review the message and recipients before sending.

1. Create a template

  1. Open Communications → Personal Notifications → PN Templates on your dashboard.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Choose the Message type.
  4. Enter a clear Title and write the message in Content.
  5. Click Submit to save the template.

2. Edit a template

  1. Open PN Templates.
  2. Use Search by title to find the template.
  3. Click its Edit icon.
  4. Update the wording and click Submit.

3. Choose the right message type

Custom

Use this for your own recurring messages, such as parent-teacher meetings, reminders or school closures.

Absentee

Used from the Absent tab in Attendance Overview to follow up on accumulated absences. The message includes the total days absent from your attendance system.

Late

Used from the Late tab in Attendance Overview to follow up on repeated late arrivals. The total comes from the Unique Schools Digital Sign In/Out records.

Absentee Outstanding

Used in Absent Request Forms Outstanding in the Administrator’s App to remind parents/guardians to explain outstanding absences in Attention Please.

Attendance Form Management required: Absentee Outstanding is available to schools using Attendance Form Management (AFM). Contact support to learn more.

Absence Alert Options 1–4

These templates are used for absence-threshold messages, for example at 5, 10, 15 and 20 days. Your school can customise the thresholds in Absence Alerts within Attendance Overview and edit the wording in PN Templates.

Older template records may still show Tusla Option 1–4. The current message-type dropdown uses Absence Alert Option 1–4.

Team Manager

This message type is also available for Team Manager templates.
